Most of these creeps are Nigerians and are based in Nigeria and operate out of numerous ‘Internet Cafes’ there. Not sure why they are so prolific there, more than most other places. Is ‘fraud’ part of the DNA of Nigerians? They seem to be adept and oriented to do this more than others. However, do not lose sight of the fact that there are many other sources of scammers, some very possibly living next door.
Other than that, and other than the Craig’s-list Scam warning, beware, the Internet is worse than the old “wild-west” or any school of Pirahanas or the largest White Shark on record.
I hear all of the time how they ruin people’s lives. They prey on mostly the young, ignorant and nieve.
I know you are very intelligent and have ’street smarts’…
